Colouring storybooks for ages 2 to 9
Stories that grow with your child
Mossglow is a world of seven realms. Each realm has its own hero and three books, one for every stage, so your child can stay with a hero they love from toddler picture book to first chapter book, and colour every picture on the way.
Three stages
Pick the stage, not just the age
Every realm tells its hero's story three times, growing a little each time. The yellow badge on each cover shows the stage.

Seven realms
The realms and their books
Each realm has a saying that its hero learns to live by. Open For grown ups on any book to see the lesson, a game to play together and the true fact at the back.

How to get the most from a Mossglow book
Find Mossbud
Mossbud is a tiny glowing seed who hides in every single picture. Toddlers love spotting him, and he gets harder to find as the stages go up. The Sapling books have answer pages at the back for when he is really well hidden.
Read first, colour after
Read the story together first. Then come back and colour one picture at a time, talking about what is happening on that page.
The pictures are best coloured with crayons or coloured pencils. No two pictures share a sheet, so colour never spoils the next picture.
The Glow Pages
At the back of every book you will find:
- A True Seed: a real fact from the story
- A feelings page or game to play together
- A short note for grown ups
- A map of the whole Mossglow world to colour
One feeling at a time
Every Seedling names one or two first feelings, like scared, brave, worried or proud. Say the feeling out loud with your child when you see it on the page, and again when it shows up in real life that week.
Stay with a hero
If your child loves a hero, follow them up the stages. Maeryn is the same brave little mermaid at 3 and at 8, and the bigger books remember what happened in the smaller ones.
Act it out
Most books end with a game, and the Sprout and Sapling books suggest a scene to act out, one of you as the hero and one as the troublemaker. Children remember a lesson far better when they have played it.
Safety notes
Where a story touches something real, the note for grown ups says so plainly. The stories give no medical advice, and real snakes, fires, forges and deep or weedy water are always for grown ups to deal with.
The world
The map at the back of every book
Every book ends with this map of Mossglow, from the floating Sky Isles to the reef islands and the great tree at its heart. Colour in each realm as you visit it.
